Meet The Chef
Rosalinda Sala

Rosalinda Sala, executive chef and owner of Fonda Rosalinda's, is a lady unlike any other. Rosalinda was born and raised in Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico. She was raised in a very modest environment and began learning how to cook at a very young age. She reminiscences about the times she got a crate to help her mother in the kitchen. From this time on Rosalinda has always experimented in the kitchen just like a chemist at a lab. Rosalinda has traveled to Greece, Miknonos, Morocco, Italy and Paris learning how to make the regional specialties. She has always read books to learn more about all types of cuisines and experiments with these as she incorporates them into her recipes, making them unbelievably magnificent. She continues to study her books and traveling when possible to continually improve the dining experience at her restaurant. Her cuisine is unlike anyone's in the Upstate and the ambiance at her restaurant makes you feel at home.

Authentic Mexican

Posted By Candy from Greenville

If you are looking for a Mr. Salsa burrito DO NOT come here. This is the real deal. Atmosphere does leave something to be desired but look past it and dig into the food. They will also let you "taste test" certain dishes if you are unfamiliar with them. Very good.

Sweet Tea

Posted By Carole from Greer

I haven't dined at Rosalinda's yet... though planning to do it as soon as I can! I did try her "secret recipe" of sweet tea. It's a-ma-zing! I'd recommend it to anybody!!!! Enjoy :)

What?

Posted By HBird5 from Greenville

My wife and I ate dinner there Friday evening based on the rave reviews of this restaurant. While the food tasted good , other things about Rosalinda's were a disappointment, including the atmosphere. The server pushed the sea bass and we both "bit" on her suggestions and while we were not disappointed with the taste of the sea bass with mole sauce, the presentation was not what we expected.

Simply The Best

Posted By Ahhjdd from Greenville

Rosalinda's was great from the start. You must try the Homemade Rosalinda's Margaritas. Be careful they go down quite easy. The chips and salsa are also amazing. The soup was a little salty but really good flavor. My wife had the sea bass in cheese sauce it was really good. I had the pork in green sauce that was fall off the bone good. My meal also came with black beans that were great as well as corn tortillas, something that you never get anywhere else. The atmosphere is a little lacking but the food and margaritas make up for it. I will be going back here sometime real soon. The wait staff and Rosalinda are all very nice and answered all of our questions. The prices are in fair the the portion sizes. I highly recommend it to anybody who enjoys real Mexican food that has flavor.

Excellent Authentic Food

Posted By sc_hiker from Greenville

For years I've complained that Greenville did not have nice, authentic Mexican restaurant. Boy I was wrong...and missing out. Rosalinda's is excellent: fresh, authentic, and a wide variety of offerings on the menu. Great service. Quaint atmosphere. I'll be back time and again.
