MaryBeth's

Dinner MenuMain Menu

MaryBeth's serves breakfast seven days a week, all day long; offers a lunch menu that starts at 10:30 in the morning; and serves dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. The owners have worked hard to establish a reputation of excellence in both food and service. Even more to the point, U.S. Airways has named MaryBeth's as the Best Breakfast Restaurant in Greenville.

wonderful birthday dinner!

Posted By poochmom from fountain inn

Our first visit was on my birthday, and we could not have asked for a better experience! We both ordered filet - mine was Oscar style - and it was the best steak I have ever had! Great food, friendly service, and the strawberry shortcake was to die for! We don't often go to downtown Greenville, but this was definitely worth the trip.

Greenville's best breakfast

Posted By ValSP from Greenville

Only north of Virginia have I been able to find cream cheese scrambled eggs with scallions, until I found MaryBeth's in downtown Greenville. Chef Chuck La Press is a NYC-trained pro and the breakfast at MaryBeth's offers a selection you can find nowhere else in this quasi-cosmopolitan South Carolina city, everything from traditional bacon and eggs (be sure to ask for your bacon crispy) to lemon ricotta pancakes with fresh lemon curd. The coffee is a gourmet blend roasted just for the restaurant (free refills!). I come in for breakfast every Wednesday while in town for business and stay as long as possible to enjoy the atmosphere (fireplace is flaming during the cooler months, also have cool lighting). Be sure to grab a booth, though, or sit outside in the fall. Downside, it's priced on the upper end of what you might want to spend for breakfast, but is well worth it. Haven't tried lunch and dinner yet, but have heard they are also worth the trip downtown. Very family-friendly, too. Overall, a "must eat" in Greenville, SC. Foodies will recognize the extra touches the chef puts into the dishes.

Tons of options! Healthy and delish!

Posted By GlassHalfFull from Simpsonville

Our experience at MaryBeth's was really phenomenal. What I liked most is that the options are all over the board. We went for breakfast and while I was happy and impressed with some healthy omelet options I opted for a "not-so-healthy" but absolutely delicious lemon ricotta pancakes. They were out of this world! I did opt for a fruit plate on the side. I was so happy to find great FRESH fruit. It's hard to find really fresh fruit at any restaurant these days. My fiance was particularly impressed with the french press coffee as well. So much in fact he went out and bought a french press himself! However, he has said it just is not as good as Marybeth's. As two Yankees living in the south this was our first great breakfast experience. Also, great parking and outside seating for people watching!

Fantastic place for breakfast!

Posted By FoodieGirl from Greenville

Or lunch or dinner, for that matter. We went to Mary Beth's on Father's Day, which can be a difficult holiday for any restaurant. We had an awesome meal. I love that there are many things on the menu at Mary Beth's that you can't find anywhere else in Greenville - like the eggplant and goat cheese sandwich or the scrambled eggs and cream cheese. We had the banana-pecan pancakes, which were delicious, and the shrimp and grits. Their coffee is excellent (no small thing for a breakfast place!) and everything tastes fresh and well-prepared. We could tell the servers and kitchen were hustling to keep up on this busy day. Thanks for the great meal and we'll be back!

Yumm, indeed!

Posted By CarolinaGirl1 from Taylors

There are too few great places for breakfast in Greenville, but this newish spot is in the running for the top of the rankings. The eggs are cooked JUST SO, and a breakfast (any time of the day!) comes together with both taste and panache. Service could be a little better, but I guess you can't have everything!

Pancakes! Yumm

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the lemon-ricotta butter pancakes... You've gotta try 'em!

A perfect brunch place!

Posted By LittleChemist from Greenville

What a great little place! Went there for the first time about a week ago for brunch and will absolutely go back as soon as possible. Exceedingly friendly staff and atmosphere, seems like they actually care that you enjoy your visit. The omelettes and muffins are to die for - nothing fancy, but definitely leaps and bounds above any other little breakfast joint (Waffle House and IHOP - never again!). Great location on the less-traveled outskirts of downtown.

Good enough to go back!

Posted By litespeedchick from Greenville

Which means a lot in Greenville. Everything I've had at MaryBeth's has been good. They aren't turning out innovative dishes...but they aren't trying to. If you want basic, good quality breakfast food, it's a good choice. So far, I can recommend the grits, ciabatta toast (with nice jam selection), scrambled eggs w/ goat cheese and basil, pancakes, and French press coffee (although I wish it were a bit darker roast.) Service is pretty good, and they general feeling is of management eager to please their customers.

Great food and friendly people

Posted By Sophie from Simpsonville

I've been to MaryBeth's three times now and the food is consistently good. I love being able to have breakfast in the afternoon without going to IHOP. The servers are very friendly and fast during lunch hour. It can be a bit pricey but worth it.
