Another great meal at RE

Posted By Bernard from Greenville

Once again my dining experience at this restaurant exceeded my expectations. Would HIGHLY recommend the 12 oz. Prime NY Strip. The current King Crab salad was FANTASTIC! It was a special item so I don't know how long it will be on the menu. Everyone else at the table had something different and were equally impressed. The place was packed! Clearly one of, if not the, best upscale restaurants in Greenville.

Pleased party

Posted By groom's mom from Henrico

My son had heard and read good things about Rick Erwin's West End Grille, so he chose it for his September wedding rehearsal dinner. They did not disappoint! General manager, Colin McDonald, Mike Ivey,an excellent chef, and a competent wait staff worked tirelessly to ensure a pleasant evening for our party of 51. They not only customized their menu to accommodate the adults, but they also provided special food and a special table for the 5 youngsters in our group so that their parents could enjoy their dinners, too. As is customary, a few weeks prior to the event, we were required to give an estimated number of guests. However, unlike many establishments, they only charged for the guests who actually appeared and for the food and drinks consumed that night. Both locals and out-of-towners from Virginia, Atlanta, New Orleans, DC, Colorado, and New York commented on the excellent drinks, delicious food, and superb service. Several, who travel often and eat out frequently, remarked that Erwin's served "the best food they had ever eaten in a restaurant." Rick Erwin's helped make an eventful weekend in Greenville even more memorable for our family and friends.

Our Downtown Favorite

Posted By CarolinaGirl1 from Taylors

When we're downtown, Rick Erwin's is the spot for red meat and seafood. Well managed, the restaurant features fine cuisine, presented with flair by staff who really know what they're doing. Portions are generous, but there are options that allow you to choose appetizers and "small meal" alternatives if that's your preference.

Outstanding!

Posted By vue21849 from simpsonville

My wife and I are former New Yorkers. And as such, are a bit more discriminating, as to our restaurant choices. Rick Erwin's is such an establishment! We've dined here on several occasions. And they have always exceeded our expectations. Their food is outstanding, with generous portions. We have especially enjoyed the petite angus filet mignon,as well as the salmon with the crawfish. The wait staff was very professional and accommodating, making each occasion special.

Fabulous!!

Posted By Kayce from Greenville

Went here this weekend for my birthday with a party of 8 and everyone was very impressed. The food was incredible, the service immaculate, and atmosphere was awesome! I had their French onion soup and it was the best I have ever had - everyone should try it, also the sashimi tuna was incredible. They offer a regular plate and small plate portions and for price and food they are great deals!!

YUMMALICIOUS!!

Posted By chunkman from clemson

My wife and I have been there a few times and each visit is better than the last. The food was excellent, atmosphere is fun yet sophisticated, and the service was fantastic. We will come back soon. You may think it's pricey, but it's well worth it AND cheaper than a tank of gas!!

Amazing Filet Mignon

Posted By clmsnskr from Greenville

I ate here last Friday night for the second time ever. I ordered the filet mignon. The steak just melted in my mouth! It was so tender I could cut it with my fork! I had eaten at a really nice and expensive steak house in NY and I had thought that was the best steak I had ever eaten until my dinner at Rick Erwin's for about half the price. If you want a good steak this restaurant is a must!

Macaroni & Calamari

Posted By Epicure from Easley

Not only is this a great place to enjoy delicious steaks- they have incredible macaroni and cheese. And all of their sides are served in portions that are more than generous enough for sharing. They also have the best calamari in town- the sweet and spicy sauce is perfect!
