Restaurant Reviews
Sophisticated and Yummy
I've been eating at Thaicoon Ricefire since Bobby first opened the Furman location a few years ago. That first incarnation was what Bobby called "Thai Market Cuisine." You placed your order at the front counter and took a seat and the food was brought to your table. Since then, the restaurant has expanded three times (that I can count) and the Market concept has given way to full table service, including a host/hostess greeting you at the door (although you can still order take-out, thankfully). The food has remained outstanding. I've had a number of things from the menu (including traditional Thai cuisine, Sushi, and more contemporary creations), and the food remains consistently amazing. I've never been disappointed. Bobby, the owner, is constantly thinking about the future of his restaurant and how he's going to raise the bar next. Thaicoon, in short, is a great little jewel in North Greenville.
