Our New Favorite

Posted By SusanH from Greenville

Our first visit will not be our last! Love, love, love The Trappe Door! I had the duck breast and it was scrumptious - not too fatty as duck can be. The cherry sauce was sweet and tart. Entree prices are very reasonable. The beers are a little pricey, but it's always interesting to try new ones that you can't find anywhere else. Love the cozy atmosphere and our service was just about perfect (if only she hadn't called us "you guys" - a pet peeve).

Delightful surprise

Posted By Brillo from Greenville

A few friends have recommended we try this new restaurant... especially because we like mussels. What a great treat! The basement is really nicely finished, and the menu was great. We had a mushroom appetizer, then shared an order of mussels with fries. Both were excellent. Service was helpful and attentive once she learned it was our first visit. We tend to prefer wine versus beer, and had wines. That said, surrounded by such an incredible beer menu I had to try a draft "Saison Silly" which was just delicious. Only 2 slight negatives: The music was 25% too loud, and the brightly lit kitchen was annoying from our table. We will return!
